Blaby Chooses Variopress with Rotary 3 lifter

Blaby is a village in Leicestershire some 5 miles south of Leicester. It has a population of under 7000 people. The unusual name probably comes from the Norse ‘Blabyr’. There was a large Viking settlement there many years ago! Blaby also gives it name to the district council and that covers an area of 50 square miles. They serve a population of just under 100,000 people. Based in Narborough, the council mainly covers a rural area. There are many new developments, especially along the M1 corridor. These include the Fosse Shopping Park, which is one of the busiest out of town shopping centres in the country.

Working with Blaby District Council since 2008

FAUN Zoeller have had a long-standing relationship with Blaby District Council having first purchased Rotary lifts from us back in 2008. They then replaced all of their frontline fleet with our lifters.

When they looked at replacing some of their fleet. FAUN Zoeller were obviously highly regarded by the fleet team and we were very pleased to be awarded the contract to supply the 4 vehicles. The Council opted for the Mercedes Econic chassis with the best-selling VARIOPRESS body and the hugely successful Rotary 3 lifter. They have now been in operation for a few months and they have proved to be extremely reliable.

Ben Lord, Regional Account Manager for FAUN Zoeller says ‘I look forward to further strengthening our relationship with the Council going forward, and grow the business in the Leicestershire area having supplied 6 new refuse vehicles (full fleet) to Oadby and Wigston BC only 12 months earlier’.
